In the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of the top social apps on Android in Ghana showed varied trends across downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE saw a dynamic quarter with its weekly revenue peaking at around $5K in late November. Downloads surged in early December, reaching about 56K, while active users remained steady around 1.6M throughout the quarter.

SOYO: Meet & Chat Party experienced fluctuations in downloads, starting at 44K and dropping to about 9K by the end of December. Revenue remained relatively stable, hovering around $600 in the final weeks, with active users at approximately 21.7K by the quarter's end.

Facebook maintained a consistent download rate, averaging around 26K weekly. Revenue showed minor fluctuations, ending the quarter at $358, while active users slightly increased to over 841K.

Instagram recorded a steady rise in active users, peaking at about 2.5M. Downloads were consistent, averaging 22K, and revenue increased to $429 by the end of December.

Tango- Live Stream, Video Chat experienced a notable increase in active users, climbing to 20K by the end of the quarter. Downloads peaked at approximately 8.7K in the last week of December, with revenue reaching $551.
